People always ask me how to climb better. Here’s a quick and dirty crash course to crush it hard on plastic. Some good gym/non climbing are plank and pushups. It not only helps your power moves it also attracts top talent. On the climbing side work on deadpoint strength. If the gym has a training board use it to lock off and reach up, trying to hold on as long as you can. When actually climbing don’t forget to warm up. I know there is going to be a lot of pressure to jump right into shredding when a hot Aussie is working a 3 but resist. Wait the 10 minutres it takes to warm up. Don’t forget to have some fun and try weird stuff. Always try to push the grade. It’s something I forget to do. It’s okay to jump on V5, 6, 7, 8. See how far you can get. Keep working them. I don’t really want to give you any drills or games. Most of that shit is really dumb lol. Just climb. See how many climbs you can do and then try to do more and harder.
